Bob Crook, also known as “Biz-Bob,” and his staff support QuickBooks® users offering on-site and remote setup, training, instruction, and ongoing maintenance for small to mid-sized businesses. Small Business Solutions (SBS) is based in Huntsville, Alabama.  We serve all of Northern Alabama and the surrounding areas as a QuickBooks® Solution Provider (QSP).

Our services are designed to assess the health of your organization’s financial and business processes to help you achieve your key objectives.

Our mission is to teach you to maintain accurate financial and business performance data to proactively interpret, understand, and leverage data to manage your business.

We have the expertise you need for technology and solutions integration. As a QuickBooks® Solution Provider (QSP), we are certified to sell, implement, and support Intuit QuickBooks® Desktop Enterprise (QBES)/ Pro/Mac/Premier, Point of Sale (POS), and other third-party solutions.

We pass on our QSP discounts to you. With over 30 years of experience in accounting systems, Bob Crook, has been a certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor since 1999 and has been QuickBooks® Point of Sale Certified since 2003. He is also QuickBooks® Advanced Certified.

Biz-Bob can be heard throughout the week on WTKI radio giving QuickBooks® tips and tricks and sharing his knowledge of accounting and QuickBooks® software. You can also tune in every Thursday morning at 6:45 am on Huntsville’s WTKI 1450AM or 92.9FM.

Bob Crook—Owner

Bob Crook, CPA, EA, CA, CMA, CFP, CFE, and owner of Small Business Solutions, LLC, provides accounting technology solutions, including QuickBooks® and its vast ecosystem of integrated applications, for a wide range of small businesses—from retail to nonprofit organizations, to service and manufacturing industries. He loves helping clients see the “Aha” moment when an account is cleaned up or the technology produces the correct number.

Bob has been performing consulting projects for QuickBooks for several decades and is especially well-versed in the software. Bob has been a Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor since 1999, as well as QuickBooks® Point of Sale Certified since 2003. He is also QuickBooks® Advanced Certified. He offers setup, installations, conversions, cleanup, and consulting for QuickBooks and Point of Sale solutions.

Some of the recent projects Bob has completed for clients include setting up and converting a Point of Sale system for an electrical supply business, correcting $1.2 million incorrect inventory valuation for an online store, and improving invoicing for a new business that sanitizes restaurants due to COVID-19.

Prior to owning Small Business Solutions, LLC, Bob owned Padgett Business Services, an accounting and tax firm. He was also Financial Manager for an entertainment company and IT support analyst for accounting software. He is very active in his community, serving on the Board of the local symphony and a theater, and performing accounting tasks for many local nonprofits.

Bob received a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Jacksonville State University. When he is not working, you can find him sailing, playing tuba in various community bands, travelling, or staying up-to-date on current events.

Jerie L. Harrell

Jerie L. Harrell joined Small Business Solutions LLC (SBS) in 2012 and currently serves as a QSP Assistant and Advisor. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online and Desktop. Her primary responsibilities include assisting the owner with day-to-day business operations and providing automated solutions to clients and prospects with accounting issues. For a client-oriented individual like Jerie, being able to help and educate clients is her favorite part of the job. She feels absolutely rewarded when she hears the happiness and excitement from clients once they understand her proposed solution and take the step forward to work with SBS.

Before her role as QSP Assistant and Advisor, Jerie served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for SBS for 6 years. Not only was she responsible for overseeing the daily operations of SBS, she also performed the marketing and sales function, set up training classes, prepared training materials, managed and maintained all digital aspects of SBS, prepared quotes/proposals/invoices, and much more. She was instrumental in helping SBS get promoted as an Intuit Premier Reseller $100K Club member in 2016. She has also previously worked for the Department of Defense, where she was the first civilian promoted to the Secretary of the General Staff (SGS)/Assistant Chief of Staff for the Army Research Lab located in Adelphi, MD.

When she’s not busy with work, Jerie enjoys winding down with some relaxing activities, like reading, scrapbooking, watching football and gymnastics on television, and spending time with her grandchildren, Hudson and Grayson. She was a competitive drag racer at 75/80 Dragway in Maryland and holds many trophies. Jerie’s all-time favorite movie is the 1986 action/drama film Top Gun, which she says is “about being and doing your best”—something she “[strives] for every day of [her] life.”

Gina Avila
Intuit QuickBooks Solution Provider Team Leader

Gina Avila, Team Leader of the QuickBooks Solution Program is also part of our Executive Management team at Intuit. With over 23 years of experience at Intuit both as a Marketing liaison and as an Account Manager, she brings a wealth of experience to our team. Gina acts as one of our liaisons and helps with ANYTHING Intuit-related assisting us with marketing and defining our overall company strategy.

Kimberly Mitchell
Intuit Senior Channel Account Manager

Kim is a Senior Channel Account Manager with over eight years of experience working with Strategic Partners. As a 17-year veteran with Intuit and a history of driving growth and sales results within the QuickBooks echo system, Kim brings a wealth of knowledge to our team by assisting us with sales and marketing initiatives while helping us strive for the highest net promoter (clients satisfaction) scores. Kim is passionate about creating and nurturing new partnership opportunities through the relationships she has built over the past 25 years of sales experience.
